Belgian Black Metal. A one man, Lykormas, project. Lykormas is a very experienced musician but this is still a debut. It is wonderful & pummeling & with fantastic vocals! Plus the addition of those synths gives a very playful atmosphere - to complement the darkness throughout. I definitely need more! Highly recommended!!!

I went into this album blind and not really knowing what to expect… and that’s how I would recommended everyone go into this experience. Black and death are the foundation but there are so many nontraditional diversions you are left with a unique experience that leans towards the obscure and bizarre. 8/10

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!
